Class Information

Gymnastics, Where All Sports begin!

Pictou County Gymnastics Club is a not-for-profit organization governed by a Board of Directors made up of parents, coaches and community members. At P.C.G.C we provide a variety of gymnastics, fitness & health classes. Gymnastics covers all areas of fitness; cardiovascular, flexibility and strength; all of which are valuable to the health and well-being of children and youth in our communities and surrounding areas.

We are an equal opportunity club and offer a variety of programs to meet all needs.

Class Information

Class Minimum

All classes operate with a minimum of 2-3 registered athletes. If you have registered for a class and are the only athlete, we will contact you with other available class times.

Our Commitment

As a not-for-profit club our goal is to see our gym filled with children enjoying a healthy lifestyle through the art and sport of gymnastics. We are committed to keeping our costs among the lowest in the province, providing funding opportunities through Kidsport and Jumpstart and ensuring that all kids who want to play have a chance. To do this we depend on fundraisers and generous donations. If you or your business is interested in donating to send kids to gymnastics, please contact us.

Kindergym, Preschool, and Recreational Programs

All of our athletes begin in our Kindergym, Preschool, or Recreational programs. These classes run on a term by term basis and registration is available online. Please see below for more information about each of these classes.

Advanced, Pre-Competitive, and Competitive Programs

These classes are by invitation. All new athletes start in our Kindergym, Preschool, or Recreational programs. Think your athlete is ready for the next level? Contact us to arrange testing with our recreational director. Invitations are sent home with the athlete in a sealed envelope. If you have any questions regarding the invitation your athlete has received, please reach out via email and we will answer any further questions.

Program Pricing

Insurance

Everyone actively involved on or near our equipment is required to purchase insurance yearly through our club when registering. This is mandatory to ensure all can learn and thrive in a safe environment.  

GNS Insurance is applied to your first registration fee of the season. It covers September – September and is a non-refundable payment. 

Starting September 2022 – $60/year per athlete 

Registration

There are multiple terms each year. Current athletes are able to re-register at the end of each term. New athletes are welcome to register during open registration times.

Prices

Full Payment for term is required at time of registration, including insurance (once a year).

All prices are subject to change, notice will be given to all returning members.

**Effective September 2022**

Insurance fees have increased to $60.00 per athlete.

Financial Assistance

We are a non-profit club, focused on bringing healthy activity to youth in our community at an affordable cost. We work hard to keep our pricing one of the lowest in the province but we realize the cost could still be out of reach to some.

We are fortunate to be aligned with KidSport NS and Jumpstart to offer financial assistance to any family eligible. If you have further issues, please contact us! We will do what we can to make sure no one is left out.

Storm & Cancellation Policy

If school is cancelled, morning classes are also cancelled

Afternoon classes will be decided upon by 2pm

Check our Facebook page, Website, or tune into 94.1 FM for cancellations.

If classes are cancelled for reasons beyond our control (ex. weather), there will not be a makeup class.

If the gym cancels classes for non-weather-related reasons, there will be a makeup day. Members will be contacted.

Any holidays in which the gym is closed will not have a makeup day. We are closed on all stat holidays.
